TEAMS 1999/2000

A TEAM

This team was in the 1st Division.

During the season they lost Helen who moved away to Rhos-on-Wye but were lucky to find a replacement player in Sven. Following this disruption and some illness in one of the team, they have not performed as well as they expected. However, they remain in Division 1for 2000/2001 following thier position of fifth out of ten.

B TEAM

This team was in the 1st Division.

This team managed to avoid relegation at the end of season 1999/2000 mainly due to the efforts of Micky Marsh who had the best percentage results of all of the club members. Accordingly, they will remain in Division 1 for 2000/2001.

C TEAM

This team was in the 2nd Division.

Follwing some initial problems this team managed to hold their place in Divison 2 for 1999/2000, although it was a struggle to do so. They remain in Division 2 for 2000/2001.

D TEAM

This team was in the 2nd Division.

They also suffered some illness to one member and did not perform as well as expected. However, because of the loss of Guy Portlock the team has had to split up. Jeremy Davies will join the C team (above) for 2000/2001; Rob Wilkins and George Bushnell will drop a division to join the E Team (below) which will be remaned as D Team for 2000/2001.

This team was in the 3rd Division.

Madhavi played extremely well in her first season with the club but is unavailable for 2000/2001. A revampted team for 2000/20001 will include Mike Page, Brian Lewis (below) and Robert Wilkins and George Busnell from the D team (above).

F TEAM

This team was in the 4th Division.

Illness in the team captain and a second player in this team has caused yet more disruption to the overal performance of the teams playing for Carmarthen as a whole. However, this team managed to avoid relegation and will be placed in Division 3 for 2000/2001 following a revamp of the divisions in the Swansea League.

ooOoo WELSH NATIONAL CLUB TEAM LEAGUE ooOoo

1999/2000 saw this team enter the Welsh National League for the first time. Their automatic placement in Division 4 resulted in a final placement of 2nd in the Division. Consequentely, they are due for promotion to Division 3 during the 2000/2001 season.
