The 'CLUB' holds its sessions every Thursday (except for August and two weeks at Christmas) from 7 pm. to 10 pm.
The Club is also a 'Community Club' affiliated to the TTAW (Table Tennis Association of Wales). As such, members of the club pay part of their annual subsrciption fees to the TTAW (See CHARGES ).
We have eight (8) tables available for our exclusive use plus an additional two (2) tables which are sponored by the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust branch of UNISON. These tables are usually set out in two rows of four or five seperated by barriers to assist with the control of 'flying balls'. Any table not set-up at the start of each session can be set-up at short notice.
In addition club members may have use of a coaching robot which, although initially supervised, provides useful individual and private practice of specific shots or sequences of shots.
COACHING:
Four members of the club (all league players) are also Level 1 TTAW (Table Tennis Association of Wales) coaches. Coaching usually starts at 7 p.m. - for one hour. However, all coaches and senior players take an interest in players who wish to better themselves; and usually 'coach' as long as players are there seeking assistance.

The club holds its Annual General Meeting each June. The Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Special Events Secretary and all committee members have to stand for re-election at this meeting. The meeting also determines the cost of the annual membership (Club) and hourly fees for the coming year.
In 2005, the Club decided that it should have the position of LIFE PRESIDENT in honor of a member who has show outstanding dedication and support of the CLub. This was awarded to Joe Morris.
The Carmarthen Table Tennis CLub was started in
1984 by With the advent of more and more players and assistance from the Sport
Council for Wales, 1994, the TTAW and the
Foundation for Sports and the Arts,1996, the club now occupies three
full badmington courts and provides playing space on upto ten tables. The club now owns seven of the eight tables it uses thanks to the sponsorship of the
Sport Council for Wales who provided three table tennis tables,
club table tennis bats and a number of barriers in 1994; and the
Foundation for Sports and the Arts, who provided funds to acquire a further four
table, a coaching robot and additional barriers in 1997. The final part of their funding has
provided extra lighting above our playing area and was finally finished in July 1999. These facilities not only ensure the club has a firm foundation but also provides one of
(if not the best) locations for playing table tennis in Wales. At the same time as the CLUB was developing, a number of members were keen to extend their
abilities and were looking for challenges beyound its boundries. This initially came in the
form of 'friendly matches' against other clubs in the area. Eventually, in 1986, an approach
was made to the Swansea and District Table Tennis League in order
for a team from Carmarthen to join them. After some debate (Carmarthen is 30 miles [48 kilometers] from Swansea)
it was agreed that we would join them. From a humble start of one team in 1986/87 the
club has at various times entered four, five or six teams in this League. This tradition is
continuing with 5 teams being entered into the League for 2001/2002. Another facet of the development of the Club has been the organisation of an annual
Dyfed Closed Competition. This competition is limited to players who live within the county boundries of
Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Further information
on this competition can be found via the 'DYFED CLOSED' menu link.
The results for the last three years of competions can also be found via the links menu. If you have any questions about the club or joining one of the teams then e-mail the Club - cttc@eastwood01.ndo.co.uk.
